Gain an understanding of modern Geography, both economic and political. Students on this course will develop a broad understanding of the origins of agriculture, permanent settlement, feudalism, mercantilism and colonialism.
This course is designed to provide an introduction into economic and political Geography and explore the economic and political structures of the past. By the end of this course, students should have developed a broad understanding of the origins of agriculture, permanent settlement, feudalism, mercantilism and colonialism and how these have set the foundations for our modern world today. Throughout lessons, students will be encouraged to think critically whilst analysing historical, economic and political sources. There will also be a focus on how to construct an effective essay and get top marks.
