This introductory course gives students the knowledge and skills they need to gain a deeper understanding of the music they hear, perform and compose, and acts as excellent preparation for a GCSE qualification in music. After this course, students will feel confident in their knowledge about the basics of music theory, as this course will cover a wide range of topics, starting with the elements of music theory and journeying through different topics such as melody, harmony and the structure of music.
