Course Overview



A comprehensive course, covering AOS4 from the listening and appraising component of the Edexcel A-Level in music. The course is divided into three sections covering the three-set works in this area of study: The Beatles' 'Revolver', Kate Bush's 'Hounds of Love', and Courtney Pine's 'Back in the Day'. Each of these units opens with an introductory lesson exploring the context of these albums, followed by three lessons diving into the analytical detail of the study songs, and finishing with a lesson on wider listening, essay themes and exam technique. This course is appropriate for advanced students who are looking to further develop their skill and appreciation in music.
