Course Overview

Do you aimlessly apply EQ to your mixes? Do your mixes fall down when compared to the sounds you hear on your favourite records? EQ is a hugely powerful tool, which can be used to sculpt your audio into a very pleasing sound or destroy it completely. This course aims to arm you with a systematic approach to applying EQ and deepen your understanding of the theory behind this tool. During this course, students will learn how to critically listen, analyse audios and pick up some techniques for mixing and production. By the end of the lesson series, students will have been introduced in full to the process of equalisation and shown precisely how it can benefit their mixes. A strong emphasis is place on practical application throughout this course.
