This course examines social thinking, social influence and social behaviour in the interest of understanding what guides people's motivations and actions. Gain a complete understanding of why people do what they do.
Have you ever wondered why people behave differently when in groups? Or why in certain situations, someone may act selfishly but, in another situation, may be willing to help someone? This course explores these types of questions by examining social thinking, social influence and social behaviour over the course of five lessons. By using real-life examples and case studies to explain and contextualise more complicated theory, this course is suitable for anyone, even if they lack any previous knowledge of psychology. During this course, students will develop their reasoning and critical analysis skills, whilst gaining a solid understanding of the theories surrounding social psychology.
