A look at eleven of the most influential women of this era, leading students through the traditional view of women in society, right the way through to how these individual's work fits into 21st-Century culture today.
This course aims to teach ages 7-11 (Key Stage 2) about the impact and achievements of eleven women in the 20th century. The course will explore and aim to answer some of the following questions: how have women been traditionally viewed and treated by society? Has their work always been celebrated? What challenges did they have to overcome in their work? Why is it important to learn about these women? How has their work impacted society today? The course is broken down into eleven lessons, during which students will go into detail about the lives of each of the women, their work and what they achieved. Each lesson will last one hour. The course will include digital handouts, reference images and illustrations and reference videos. All students are encouraged to start a workbook.
