Course Overview

This course supports students in planning and structuring essay responses and interpreting the question. Timings in an exam-based situation will be emphasised, including the ability to recognise the requirements of longer and shorter-answer questions immediately. At the end of the course, students will also be confident in referencing key theory in any given response, offering the essay a balanced critical framework. During this course, we will journey through how to analyse exemplar responses and interpret the exam question at hand. As well as this, students will learn how to structure a good essay and will practice doing so in timed conditions.
