Chess is one of the oldest strategic games in the world; it gets its appeal to the human psyche because of its logic, reasoning, aesthetic, adventurous and empowering elements. It is considered as a creative quest with endless opportunities. Throughout this course, students will learn all the basic rules of the game, including special moves. They will learn important checkmate methods and fundamental play. To start off the course, students will analyse the opening, middle-game and endgame. By the end of this course, students will have mastered essential tactics and strategies. In order to consolidate this knowledge, students will practise what has been learnt at the end of each lesson.
