An introduction to the fundamentals of music theory, enabling complete coherency as a singer. Develop a solid understanding of music writing and recognition.
Music theory is learning the language of musical conversation. To be able to write down music is an invaluable skill, and without it, we would not have a record of a lot of highly treasured music. Music theory allows the musician or singer to converse in a completely coherent way, where words may fail, notation can guide. Accuracy in notation will give the musician better musical coherence and allow their intentions to be realised. By the end of this course, students will have an understanding of the fundamental aspects of music theory, with developing knowledge surrounding music writing and recognition.
