Designed for entry-level guitarists, this course provides students with an understanding of techniques, theory and how the bass fits into the music industry as a whole.
Welcome to Bass Guitar 101. This course will take students from an introduction to the instrument to being able to play in ten manageable lessons. This entry-level programme will cover technique, theory, the role of the bass within music and the history of the instrument, simultaneously providing an in-depth framework for further musical development. Each lesson will break these four major topics down into smaller, manageable chunks, allowing students to take their time and really internalise each concept. Two example songs will be written in notation and tablature form for students to learn and develop their skills. By the end of this course, students will comfortable practising the bass guitar in their own time.
