Course Overview

This course is designed for new Year 8 students who wish to get a firm foundation in the areas of geometry and measure. The programme will start by reviewing the basics required and then look in-depth at angles in parallel lines in preparation for the GCSE exam. This is a topic that even some maths teachers get wrong! The lesson series shows students how to avoid the common pitfalls. At the end of the course, students will look at a range of units of measure and the differences between metric and imperial measurements. During this course, students will become fluent in essential numerical and mathematical concepts, whilst developing their problem-solving, logical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
