The 'voice box', 'vocal cords', 'internal instrument': those tiny folds of muscle inside your throat have many names and are often shrouded in mystery. They are the mechanism with which we can communicate and express ourselves; they are the foundation of theatre and are one of the actors' most precious tools. It can be a daunting prospect trying to understand how something works when you can't see it. This course strips away the mystery and provides clear guidance on healthy voice practice, combining craft with artistry and how to integrate that into your performance and everyday life. Students should regard this as an opportunity to let go of their inhibitions and dive without restraint into first understanding and then improving their voice. The opportunities for development in this area are limitless.
