Course Overview

On this course, students will work on writing more coherently, creatively and succinctly. The intention is to bring together students of different humanities backgrounds and give them space to write free of marks schemes, in order to improve language, structure and other literary skills. This provides an opportunity to experiment and develop more creative ways of writing and answering questions; vital skills in all literary subjects. By bringing students of different subject backgrounds together, there is an opportunity to highlight similarities and differences between subjects; something that increasingly becomes clear in academic work. The need to write well only becomes more important as students advance through their academic career and so having a space to work on this before attending university will prove a valuable experience.
