Course Overview

This course acts as a complete guide to measurement, a core part of arithmetic foundation and an important mathematical skill for students of this age group. The programme is divided up into four thirty-minute lessons, acting as digestible chunks from which students can learn at a reasonable pace. The first lesson is focused on money, teaching students the available monetary units and showing them how best to count money, also using it to express additional mathematical ideas. Students will then move onto studying sequencing and dates. By the completion of lesson three, students will have a solid grasp on the fundamentals of how sequences work, as well as proficiency is working with dates and making a range of calculations in this regard. The final lesson of the course is dedicated to a study of the twelve-hour clock. Students will be taught how to tell the time, as well as the difference between analogue and digital readings. Lessons are taught in a fun and welcoming environment.
