This course is designed to help students understand the basics of Macroeconomics. Once students have completed this course, they will be better placed to understand the causes of inflation and unemployment and the relevance of government monetary and fiscal policy in dealing with such economic problems. Therefore, students will be able to use the knowledge gained to understand everyday macroeconomic events. Furthermore, they will gain a solid foundation upon which they can progress to higher-level studies in Macroeconomics. The course is designed to provide AS-Level coverage of Macroeconomics and give students the ability to critically assess real-world macroeconomic developments.
