Algebra Basics: Simplifying and Manipulating Algebraic Expressions
Gain a full understanding of one of the most important components of the GCSE syllabus. This course provides students with all the fundamentals of algebra, so they can go on to tackle more complex problems.
Algebra is one of the key components of the GCSE specification for all exam boards. This course covers the basics of working with algebraic expressions. It looks at basic arithmetic (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing), expanding and simplifying with brackets and the consolidation and application of these skills. This is so that students are fluent in the key skills required within this strand of the GCSE exam. By becoming confident in these skills, students can then go on to study more complex algebra and answer those problem-solving questions in which a good understanding of algebra is required.
