Course Overview



This course teaches Greek to native speakers. The programme focuses on developing a wide appreciation of language and literature, the use of Greek in varied contexts and closely resembles the standards and expectations set by the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religion. Students will study different kinds of texts, grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, which will provide them with all the necessary skills for more advanced stages later. Students also explore aspects of the countries where Greek is spoken in an effort to learn their history, traditions and culture. In addition, students will learn the value of Greek Literature. The goal of the course is to enhance and develop students' existing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills so that they will be able to systematically use the Greek language in an effective way.
