Course Overview

Children are always naturally in the present, and therefore mindful. They look at everyday things in great wonder and curiosity, without judgement and with a lack of self-criticism. They tend not to have our adult habit of being preoccupied with the past and the future. The course gives children a toolbox to deal with stressful situations and overwhelming emotions. Practiced mindfulness allows children to more freely enjoy the pleasures of childhood. It encourages creative thinking, problem solving and individuality. The course includes non-competitive mindful games, mindful movement and activities, guided imagery and breathing techniques for example, animal breaths.
