About Alexandra F

I have been working in education ever since I left school and particularly enjoy working with individuals to encourage them to reach their potential. I have worked with children, teenagers and adults and have extensive experience in the English secondary school system. I love to travel and I've worked with students all over the world. I work with cultural sensitivity and make no assumptions about students' knowledge or experience.

My experience in SEN allows me to utilize a variety of techniques to assist students in accessing the curriculum and work toward passing their exams. I can help students who struggle with core subjects to gain confidence in themselves and build strategies with students in order for them to succeed at essays, presentations and exams. In addition to teaching, I have always been an artist and philosopher. Thinking creatively is very important in teaching, as it is sometimes necessary to present ideas in many different ways in order for the students to grasp and remember them. Understanding why ideas and concepts are important in the real world can give students fresh motivation for learning.
