Teaching Experience

I have a mixture of school-based and private teaching experience. I have been teaching English and maths in one-to-one and group sessions since 2013. I am in my fourth year of school-based teaching, where I have experienced educating pupils in both the state-sector and independent schools. I am knowledgeable in all areas of the primary curriculum, and most recently in teaching year 6 SATs and preparation for secondary school. I am currently teaching years 7-9 English in an independent school where I am developing a personalised and rigorous English curriculum for KS3.

I am passionate about opening doors to learning and supporting pupils to gain confidence in English and mathematics specifically. As I have a range of special educational needs training, I am adept at developing specific approaches for a range of learning needs.

About Sarah T

Alongside teaching English, I am a PhD student at the University of Birmingham, where I am undertaking research in the care and education sectors in Eastern Europe. Outside of work and studying, I enjoy reading, playing music and enjoying the outdoors.
