About Sophia S

For the past seven years, I have been immersed in learning, teaching and developing functional medicine techniques, both in ashrams and internationally. I became determined to retrain my body and regain my strength after an illness caused me to lose my mobility for a period of time. I have subsequently spent over 400 hrs undertaking yogic qualifications, two years studying natural science and aromatherapy massage and have trained students to become teachers on a 200 hr Yoga Alliance Course. As a result, I am able to enjoy a level of health that I could never have imagined. This is why I love teaching advanced students and guiding pupils into their next posture or deepening their pranayama practice and also why my heart will always lie with every beginner, who sees touching their toes, controlling their digestion or mind as an impossibility.

I am fortunate enough to have taught and practised various modalities of therapy in some of the world's leading studios/clinics and to now have returned home, where I continue to learn and share about models of health and wellbeing that fascinate and excite me.
