I have taught in secondary schools for over 7 years with a wide range of experience in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. I have taught key examination groups for the last 6 years and have extensive knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level specifications. I have 4 years of experience as an examiner for Edexcel, further enhancing my knowledge of the GCSE exam. I have taught one-to-one and in small groups for the last 9 years across all mentioned key stages.

I am a qualified maths Educator currently working in a secondary school in Birmingham. My current role within my school as a Lead Practitioner. Part of this role involves delivering training to teachers on how best to ensure pupils receive the best learning experience and retain the knowledge we are delivering.

I have studied Mathematics Subject Knowledge in great depth. I am patient, self-assured and most importantly, have a passion for mathematics and instilling a love for this within my students.

I feel I am quick to recognise how a student thinks to explain mathematical processes so a child can understand effectively. Maths can be a very daunting subject at school, so I aim to break down those barriers and make good grades achievable. I aim to tailor the session to the pupil's needs and address exactly what they feel they are struggling with. I believe preparation is key, and I take pride in providing the best resources to learn. I am approachable, and I can relate to students very well to build those important teacher-student relationships.
