Course Overview



On this course, students will read and analyse the second novel in the Harry Potter series, 'Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets'. In this novel, the protagonists Harry, Ron and Hermoine, discover there is a creature hidden in the Chamber of Secrets, responsible for petrifying a number of students at Hogwarts. Will they be able to overcome evil in order to protect their school? Each week students will study a chapter or two from the book, which will be read together as an e-book. During this course, students will look at the key themes, motifs and symbols and will unpack certain important phrases in order to better understand the author's intentions. This course is for anyone who wants to learn more about the magical world created by JK Rowling.
