Intermediate Spanish

Course Overview

Are you wondering how to progress to the next stage in learning Spanish? Intermediate Spanish will guide you forwards, building a strong foundation of grammar and vocabulary, whilst helping you to develop confidence and flair through dynamic conversation practice, writing and listening exercises. This is a holistic Spanish course, working on writing, reading, listening and speaking on a range of topics. There will be an emphasis on speaking Spanish as much as possible in the lessons, as this is crucial to building confidence in manipulating the language, and in turn, enjoying a study of the language. There shall be weekly quizzes in order to consolidate student learning, and listening, writing, reading, and speaking shall be incorporated into every single lesson. Whilst there is a fixed course programme, there is scope to adjust certain lessons depending on the student's particular interests. The course programme includes a weekly topic, as well as a weekly grammar focus. The time in each lesson shall be split between these two points of focus, helping the student to improve in every aspect of the language, and moving them towards a more advanced stage of Spanish. The course includes a number of classes with a cultural focus, which shall help the student to engage not only in the Spanish language but in the culture of the Spanish-speaking world.
