Course Overview

The programme is designed for students of any age who have an interest in becoming acquainted with the basics of Romanian language and culture. Every lesson is split into a grammar topic and the practice of that grammar topic to a theme that is relevant to Romanian culture. For instance, in lesson one, students learn about introducing themselves and conveying and asking basic information about people such as their name, age, profession and origin. As part of practising what they learn, students are given a list of Romanian historical or contemporary figures with basic information on who they are, what they do/used to do and where they came from. Students are then asked to introduce them. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to get to know a rich and distinctive culture, as well as key parts of the language.
