Teaching Experience

Since graduating from my master's course in 2011, I have been working as a private Educator in and around London for students of ages ranging from 3 to 73, working towards a wide scope of outcomes. I have helped many people who have just arrived in the UK with their English, including groups of migrant workers for UK companies as well as young refugees in UK schools.

Other clients that I have had include people with Romanian families who wished to become conversational in Romanian, people working towards obtaining Romanian citizenship, plus a multitude of students seeking help with their GCSE or A-level French, Spanish, and German exams, all of whom obtained their desired results or higher.

About Maria A

I grew up and went to school in Romania, where I began studying English at the age of 8, French at 13, and German at 14. I have been self-taught in Spanish since age 12. English and French were amongst the subjects included in what was the local equivalent of A-levels, in which I obtained marks of 9.95/10 and 10/10, respectively.

I then went on to further study applied modern languages and acting and have been working as a private language Educator since graduating in 2011.

Having grown up in a family with a long tradition of teaching, I have a natural talent for helping people further their studies and breaking down subjects into approachable, bitesize pieces of information. As a language learner myself, I understand the process closely and know what difficulties it entails, as well as what the best ways are of finding the joy and excitement in it. I have always found teaching to be amongst the most rewarding occupations that I have ever encountered, and I strive to leave pupils with a sense of achievement after every session.
