Phonics for English
Mastering phonics is a critical step in the process of learning the basics of English. This course is designed for absolute beginners which will help them in their journey to mastering the English language.
The basis of the English language is in sounds. If a student cannot recognise the letters and sounds in the English language, it is difficult for them to pronounce the words. However, students who have a good grounding in phonics can master English easily. The objectives of this phonics course are for each student to distinguish the differences in sound and mouth formation of consonants and vowel sounds in order to pronounce English words properly and recognise the individual sounds in words. The programme begins with learning the alphabet and progresses to identifying vowels. Once the students are familiar with vowels and consonants, the lessons move on to first words and vowel sounds. In this course, students learn the difference between voiced and voiceless sounds and are taught how to master the tongue twister. This programme of study offers a thorough study of phonics, providing students with a solid basis in the English language.
