Course Overview

Sometimes you might think of a question that's so mind-boggling and it keeps you up at night. So why not get the opinions of some of the world's greatest thinkers to help? This course will enable students to think rationally about some of the biggest questions that humans have grappled with for centuries. Students will start off by getting to know Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, then applying their ideas to questions surrounding how and why we are here, life after death and morality. Further to this, students will learn why there's such a fierce battle between religion and science, but how the two sides can ultimately be compatible. Students may also look forward to using their newly-gained debating skills in future lessons of any subject.
