Teaching Experience

My first experience educating was teaching Latin and mathematics to a common entrance student, who was later accepted into his first-choice school. Through a volunteering opportunity, I helped children aged 5-14 with homework and extra-curricular activities and looked after their general well-being.

During my gap year, I qualified as a ski instructor, where I taught children aged 8-14 to ski, teaching students of different abilities and looking after them on and off the slopes. My experience has taught me the importance of catering to each child individually and fully understanding the areas they can improve.

About James R

I have thoroughly enjoyed studying biochemistry over the last three years, covering everything from the origin of life to novel cancer therapeutics. I have a great appreciation for learning based on understanding rather than just getting the right answer. I have a passion for music and enjoy playing the piano and singing. I also love sport and enjoy playing football, lacrosse and squash.
