Course Overview



This course is designed for new Year 9 students who want to get a firm foundation in the area of Statistics. Statistics are becoming a more and more important part of life, and statisticians are now in big demand. Students can even take a GCSE in statistics. During this course, students will become fluent in essential numerical and mathematical concepts, whilst developing their problem-solving, logical reasoning and critical thinking skills. This course will start with different data types, collecting data, tabulating data, analysing data, graphs and comparing data sets. By the end of the course, students will feel confident in answering questions in any of these areas.
