Course Overview



Do you enjoy persuasive writing? Do you relish the opportunity to share your ideas with others? Or do you need that little boost of confidence to feel comfortable speaking in front of a crowd? During this six-week course, you’ll be learning about the key skills and techniques needed to write and perform a captivating speech. We’ll be looking at the great speakers of the past and analysing their speeches to see how they move their audience. We’ll be learning the importance of rhetorical devices, structuring an argument and performing to a crowd of individuals. By the end of this course, you’ll have all the tools you need to craft and execute a fantastic speech. In our final lesson, you will be performing your own speeches using the skills you’ve learnt, and you’ll be set to take the next step in your journey of public speaking. If you’re thinking about a future in a path that requires you to speak in public such as politics or law, or you simply want to work on your persuasive writing and performance, then you will really benefit from this crash course in all things public speaking.
