This course is designed for intermediate and advanced students of Latin, who wish to finesse their grasp of the Latin language. Prose composition is a highly stimulating and enjoyable activity that undoubtedly provides the best way of consolidating knowledge of grammar, syntax and vocabulary. Students will begin with simple sentences and gradually build their way up to longer and more complex passages, continuously integrating and revising their learning in class. There is particular emphasis on the various uses of the subjunctive, as well as on more sophisticated constructions such as gerunds and gerundives, which will ensure that students complete the course more confident in both their composition and translation skills.
