Macbeth, Magic and Madness: Shakespearean Tragedy for Primary School
Learning Shakespeare should never be a chore or boring. This course will use his infamous play 'Macbeth' to show students how to approach Shakespearean literature in a fun and engaging way.
This course is an introduction to Shakespeare for younger students that are perhaps struggling with a subgenre of literature that is so often taught unambitiously, even boringly! Delving into the magic, mystery and madness of Shakespeare's most fantastical and imaginative tragedy, 'Macbeth', this course allows its young students to understand story, text, themes and Shakespearean performance. Are you bored with Shakespeare at school? Not anymore! By the end of this course, students will have a deeper understanding of key concepts and themes in 'Macbeth' whilst developing skills that will be transferable to GCSE-level English. Furthermore, this course will enable students to approach Shakespearean literature with more enthusiasm, creating a more enjoyable learning experience.
