I have been teaching professionally since 2012. I also have taught at London state schools and an independent sixth form in Kensington. Most of my students are studying A-level history or business and economics. I am familiar with all of the exam boards and have marked over a thousand history exams for Cambridge International since 2017. As a father of five older girls, I know what it means to need help making sure one's grades meet expectations. I have a caring approach and do my best to encourage success in all my students. I chose to become a teacher as it is so much more personally rewarding than spending time with corporate clients in the courtroom.

I was a commercial solicitor for twenty years before turning to a new career in teaching. I completed an undergraduate degree in business then went on to do an MBA in finance and marketing with a law degree. This experience gave me a great understanding of the business world and that is why I teach this subject.

In 2012, I decided to switch careers and went to the University of London for a master's in history and I am now in my final year of a PhD in history at Oxford (Balliol College). I am a father of five girls, my eldest recently received her doctorate in psychology, one is in law in Canada, two others in undergraduate science programmes and one is a director of a London fashion corporation. I love to travel and have seen most of the USA and Europe. My favourite city outside of London is Istanbul.
