Course Overview

Throughout the years of the Tudors, we see England transform from a Medieval to Early Modern kingdom. Many revolutionary changes happened in Europe at this time and England played a big part. During this time, Columbus, then Cabot, Drake and Raleigh sailed to the New World and England became a Protestant nation. The Renaissance takes hold and Europe changes forever. The Tudors were at the centre of all of these changes. This course will cover all of the major topics in the Tudor Dynasty from Henry VII's victory at Bosworth Field in 1485 to Henry VIII and his six wives, the reign of Bloody Mary, the Spanish Armada and the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. This course will give students a solid understanding of one of the most exciting periods of English history.
