This short course helps to develop core analytical skills by looking at different approaches to studying set products. The student will be able to confidently think outside the box and offer different readings and interpretations, but always within the parameters of exam questions. The communication skills aspect will facilitate the journey from evaluative analysis to assuredly expressing ideas both verbally and in writing. Students will learn to apply media theory throughout this course and work on their communication skills by presenting and essay writing. After this short course, students will feel more comfortable in critically analysing media and conveying their thinking cohesively.
