Wellbeing Toolkit: Resources and Techniques for Children and Teenagers

wellbeing

Course Overview

Changes are happening around and inside of us all the time, turning them into an opportunity to grow depends on how complete our coping ‘toolkit’ is. In this course, you learn easy techniques to develop the tools we need to feel well. This programme is specifically for children and adolescents going through difficulties and changes: pandemic, new school, moving, divorce and grief. We explore different practices to connect them again with joy, by acknowledging our feelings and experiences in a safe and caring environment. We visit our emotions and try practical exercises to deal with them in a healthier way. Each session explores the reasons behind our emotions, what they are trying to tell us and then, practice techniques to express and reframe them. The course features a great variety of approaches such as mindfulness, guided meditations, yoga, positive affirmations, art therapy and cognitive reframing among others.
