A course for those looking to pursue international relations, history or politics at university. Take a close look at Brexit from both sides of the political campaign, analysing both the leadership and campaigns.
Should we have predicted Brexit? Why did Cameron call a referendum? Was it inevitable? This course allows students to take a closer look at the biggest ever political issue facing the United Kingdom in recent times. By looking at both sides of the political campaign, as well as the party elite, and the post-referendum period, students will become wholly confident in discussing matters relating to Brexit in any setting. Looking at the change in party leader from Theresa May to Boris Johnson, students will also become capable of using comparison skills to analyse the similarities and differences in methods of leadership between the two leaders. This course is recommended for any students who might want to pursue international relations, history or politics at university.
