Teaching Experience

I studied history and politics at the University of Oxford, Lincoln College, and I absolutely loved my degree. What I loved most is when the two sides of my degree crossed over, and I used my knowledge from both sides for political history modules.

Having taken the 11+, GCSEs, A-levels, university entrance exams, and university exams, I am very used to preparing for them and have come across lots of different revision methods and techniques, seeing which ones work best for my friends or me. I would be very keen to pass these onto any students who aren't sure how best to prepare for any exams. I have taught A-level and GCSE students looking to improve their grades, and I have more formal training in planning lessons through my lacrosse coaching qualification. Moreover, I have helped family friends from abroad to prepare for interviews and to make decisions around applying to UK universities, especially with Oxford. This is something that I have thoroughly enjoyed and would be keen to help others looking for this type of information.

At university, I captain the 2nd women's lacrosse team, which has been the best experience of my time here. I was also very involved in student journalism, including being an editor of the freshers' magazine, was gender rep at my college, and I'm taking part in an international development consultancy project. I am used to having to balance my degree work alongside these commitments and, in my capacity as captain, to helping my teammates to be able to do the same.
