Dadaism
A close look at the birth and development of the Dada Art Movement. This course considers its beginnings during World War I and brings students right up to how Dada is still relevant today.
During this programme, students will have the chance to look closely at the birth and development of the Dada art movement. The course will look at various artists and artworks from the movement, starting at its birth during the First World War, and studying the different facets of the phenomenon as it developed. Students will look closely at artists emblematic of the movement, and they will look at links to the surrealist movement, as well as the relevance of the movement today. By the end of the programme, students will have a deep understanding of this movement, carried out cultural analyses, and developed their critical analysis skills.
