This series of lessons will focus on numbers, introducing students to counting in order from 1-5. Students who are able to achieve this will then move up to counting till 10 in order. Students will learn different ways of counting and will become familiar with the different counting principles; the one-one principle, the stable order principle, the cardinal principle, the abstraction principle, the order-irrelevance principle. Students will by the end of these five lessons be, able to count up to five and be able to sort, group and count numbers in different ways. Some students will be able to write all numbers up to five correctly. Students will need access to a pencil and paper, so when they practise writing numbers, this can be evidenced.
