The monologue is the ultimate and purest form of self-expression and look no further than this course for a comprehensive guide. Students develop critical thinking and performance skills, while boosting their confidence along the way.
This programme focuses on dissecting and learning two monologues from contemporary and classical plays. The skills learnt on this course are transferable and can be taken into other areas such as public speaking, English language and English literature. By the end of the eight weeks, each student will perform their two monologues to the group and receive written feedback. The programme will help to strengthen critical thinking and performance skills, whilst developing confidence in students. At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to participate in a performance to solidify the concepts learnt in each lesson. This course caters for both those who are starting out in this craft, as well as for those who have some experience and want to refine their abilities.
